If a child has a fixed term exclusion for more than 5 days in a row, the school or the LA has the responsibility to provide education from the 6th day onwards.  We provide this away from the school site, cover subject content and can address the reasons for exclusion if appropriate. If a student is permanently excluded it may not be possible for another school to be found quickly and so we can provide tutoring to bridge the gap between their schools.  We can also provide longer term tutoring if it is felt appropriate and is required.  Contact us below to discuss and arrange an initial consultation.

The educational achievement of children in care remains lower than that of their peers. We work closely with carers and the LA to make sure we provide a bespoke service for each child we tutor. 

Working with students on understanding how they learning, on how they can think about how they think (metacognition) and building focus will enable them to retain more in all areas.  Again, we will develop a bespoke programme based on individual needs.

We know that some children refuse to go to school, and we can work with parents/carers to develop confidence in certain areas. Long term we can work with the child to enable a them to feel able to return to school if that is the plan. tutoring educational service
